Position Overview

As a Lawn Care Technician, you'll be responsible for applying fertilizer and chemical treatments, evaluating lawn health, and providing excellent service to our customers. This is a hands-on, outdoor role ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, learning new skills, and taking pride in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Apply lawn fertilization, weed control, and pest control treatments
  • Diagnose turf issues such as weeds, insects, disease, and nutrient deficiencies
  • Operate and maintain application equipment safely and efficiently
  • Communicate professionally if customers ask any questions
  • Follow all state and company safety and application guidelines
  • Maintain accurate service records
  • Represent Berkshire Turfgrass Specialists with professionalism and integrity

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Massachusetts Core Applicator Pesticide License (will pay to study and take exam)
  • DOT physical card (paid for by Berkshire Turfgrass)

Preferred (but not required):

  • Turfgrass, horticulture, or landscape experience
  • Mechanical or equipment operation experience
